Sapporo Ice
Festival
Review by A.M.
The place that I went to is Sapporo Ice Festival. I never been there before but I was expecting that there will be lots of snow. I started at February 8 and my starting point was JImmuji Station. My first stop was to go to Haneda Airport, then Haneda Airport to Chitose Airport, then Chitose Airport to ANA hotel.
I chose this because my parents were planning to go there/ When we went to the Ice Festival there were sculptures made of snow but turned into ice.
There were ice sculptures that was made during the night. There was a place where people can snowboard and do tricks in mid-air. When we went there we saw Filipino people performing and dancing. There was lots of food stands and place to buy souvenirs. The materials that you need to bring are lots of money, clothing, and camera. The Sapporo Ice Festival is between streets and if get lost there is a huge clock tower that light up at night. all visitors need a map so they know where to go and know how to say Excuse me or sumimasen, Do you know where this place? is or Kono basho wa doko ni aru ka shitte imasu ka? in Japanese. Visitors need to know there to go before that head out so they don't get lost.
I went to Sapporo Ice Festival because my family was planning to go there. In the Ice Festival there were people that were making a character for the people bnct day. There were many food and souvenir shops at the side when you walk around the Ice Festival. Always a lot bring money and clothing to stay warm. Incase you get lost there's a huge clock tower where you can meet up. All visitors need a map and know how to say Excuse me, Do you know where this place is? in japanese.
